I like them both and actually just picked them each up. But otherwise, I'd be hard pressed to say I don't disagree. It's been a long time since I was truly excited about something Mondo put out that I ZOMG HAD TO HAVE. But part of the cynic/curmudgeon in me thinks that may have to do with the fact that the landscape of this hobby also dramatically has changed. With many new players in the space as well as a bigger focus from studios on this market. When we started seeing more and more releases coinciding with the day a movie came out, this no longer felt like a niche hobby of getting some cool art from movies we all love, but as a way for studios to relatively cheaply generate additional buzz about a movie.Nothing wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 12:40 amI just logged in for the first time in a couple of years and this is the first thing I see lol. Can't say that I disagree!KingOfNothing wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2019 12:11 pmThis is insane. I mean, we knew the reality of the situation when Justin Ishmael left back in 2015 and what would ultimately end up happening to Mondo. For all intents and purposes, it's happened. Mondo had set the bar for the print world and now they (Mondo) can't even reach that bar themselves.
Makes you wonder how different things may have been if Justin had stayed. I have vague recollection of it, but what was it, did Justin want more editorial control, money, what? Whatever it was, Mondo should have given it to him. Save for some stupid wrestling BS he wanted to change the world with.
The past 4 years have been garbage. Mondo might be able to fool the people over on the FB fan page but if you go to the site and see poster after lackluster poster just sitting, ooof! A $100 timed edition "Last Jedi" print!? This ain't it chief.
Wanted to see what people were saying about The Last Jedi and Into the Spiderverse posters.

yeah, a little more variety in the box, I may have grabbed them.
Do big newspapers even do that anymore? Pages on Friday of what's playing? I haven't bought an actual newspaper in years . . .
