The new Jaws posters seem boring. What am I missing?
You got me, but I also maintain that the LD still sucks so . . .
I do kind of appreciate the old, cheap newspaper vibe, but I wouldn't buy it for sure.

It's called a typographic poster, for collectors with more of a graphic design interest it's awesome, if you're more geared towards illustration like the vast majority then I can see how it could be disappointing. Either way it sold out fast so I'm ISO.
I think it successfully puts a nice modern twist on the classic 70s style one sheets and I dig the weathered appearance it has like some old boat sign from the docks or maybe an old tourist leaflet was the inspiration. But I also find the repeated credits, such as 'poster designed by Rafa Orrico' and 'JAWS. A Steven Spielberg film' a little odd, seems like there was no other reason for them to be repeated other than to visually balance the layout.

2 and 3-D are still available.

I really dig the Jaws 2 and Jaws 3-D posters, way more than the sold out one, but the movie/s are fudge. Thats enough of a deal breaker for me.

I am usually a big Ansin guy but the Creature print is a bit of a letdown.

Seems a bit too cartoonish in illustration.
Want to like it more, being Ansin, but it's definitely a weaker one than the others Mondo has released to date, imo

I like the title but the big creature and eel background seem a little plain for Ansin.

i've been wondering what Ansin is up to....my big problem with this UM print is that it's not in-line with his others from a schematic layout perspective. the others had a graphical/geometric feel and this is not that at all. just a large image with infill around the edges. silver screen is nice though.

What was the last mondo print that made you say WOW? And it’s still amazing to this day.

Rory Kurtz Annihilation springs to mind but there for sure are others more recent like MRT’s The Crow and Ansin’s Star Wars, on that note I’m just holding out for Martin’s ESB, I believe it was mentioned he would be doing it right?
