Sounds like trash…which is probably where the unsold prints will end up next to all the Funkos
Funko'd

Like the previous poster pointed out, you only have to go to the Funko event at sdcc once to truly realize what an idiot Brian mariotti is.

Isn't that the event where people were knocking over kids, breaking bones, and jumping tables to get Funko Pops?ygolohcysp wrote: ↑Thu Mar 30, 2023 2:37 pmLike the previous poster pointed out, you only have to go to the Funko event at sdcc once to truly realize what an idiot Brian mariotti is.
Of course this is their plan. So stupid on so many levels. Companies seem to believe that a product can do better by allowing more people to purchase more items and make it less limited. Instead what they do is alienate the true fans/collectors of the products they were making and you end up with nobody left. Open Editons make sense from time to time but making print runs of 1000+ or more is going to destroy the product. So many companies think since secondary sales and flipping is the key detriment to the buying of their product the ideology of making it more available will work but it mostly fails. Artwork is the most important factor but limited edition & rarity is a key aspect as well. It’s nice they aren’t shutting the poster division altogether but I have my reservations after this update how it plays out

^ That is true.
They’ll also have to open their own screen printing shop to make it “limited but not ultra-limited”. Or move on to lithos (likely?).
Also, it seems they have no clue who the “real” Mondo fans are.

I'd say they might know better than ya think. How many times are Mondo socials filled with WHY CANT YOU MAKE MOAR?! FLIPPERS SUCK! Mondo timed editions are always pretty healthy run sizes, and many even do well on the secondary. Do agree they'd need to open their own screen printing warehouse or buyout multiples of the bigger shops to make it happen they way they want.
