Can Funko Mondo just reprint any previous Mondo release now and make it a timed edition or open edition? Or do the artists still control the image? How does that work?

first editions traditionally hold their value regardless

Thought I’ve seen some other comments that the archive was not part of the sale from Alamo, but that’s just hearsay on my side.Zer0T0lerance00 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 01, 2023 8:49 pmCan Funko Mondo just reprint any previous Mondo release now and make it a timed edition or open edition? Seems unlikely. Their contracts with most companies stipulate only so many can typically be printed, and I'd imagine contracts with the artist are structured in a similar way with a set number of prints being part of that. Furthermore, it seems likely they would have to get the artists permission to print the art again, and it doesn't seem like there are many legacy mondo artists that want to stick with the company.Zer0T0lerance00 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 01, 2023 8:49 pmCan Funko Mondo just reprint any previous Mondo release now and make it a timed edition or open edition? Couldn’t think of another place to say this.
Au revoir Mondo. Thanks for the good times and the colorful walls.
Mondo rekindled my love of drawing. I took a screen printing class because of Mondo. A skill that has brought me and my family lots of joy and stupid tshirts. That Robocock on my profile pic was the first screenprint I ever made.
Most of the art hanging at home are OG Mondo whales. I once scored a Moss SW set from my phone while my wife drove us through a rain storm. Drops could feel so epic sometimes.
Mondo also helped me put food on the table when I needed it most. Flippers get a lot of fudge but this paper helped me pay rent for the two lowest months of my life. I also made some bad trades. Like when I traded a Stout Kill Bill variant for a damaged Ansin Wolfman with Pineapple or when I said no to 10 bitcoins for a Big Trouble in Little China by Stout. I also got the better deal on a few others. Truth is this paper game was a blast. The artist were always amazing people and the community was passionate AF. I never actually made it to Austin for a gallery show but somehow it feels like I was at every one. Forever grateful.
…and Funko can eat an old shriveled dï¢k.

Got a shipping notice for the Kurtz Dune. Thought it was weird it's shipping from Static Medium in LA.
