What was the last mondo print that made you say WOW? And it’s still amazing to this day.
Dune - Akiko Stehrenberger…IMO still the best Dune (2021) print despite all the ones that came after it.

Creature is just pretty ok. Colorways are weird. I remember the Ansin Creature hype circa 2011 lol.

I like the title, but that doesn't even hardly look like Ansin to me if I wasn't given any information. And that looks like a cash-grab foil version for someone that had a reputation for restrained, logical use of foil previously. I might try for the silver, but I'd be lying if I said that was the poster I've been waiting for over 10 years.

No that’s Greg Ruth.

The akiko is the sand dunes one that looks like Paul’s face.

Would have never guessed that the Creature of the Black Lagoon is from Ansin.
Looks so different from his other work especially the other Monsters.
Good that he finds a new style for himself. But would have wished the Creature more in line with his other stuff.
Thought first it is a print from Florey.

+1 :pint:

Only print I was gunning for. Love the monochrome loose composition and full Japanese credits.

Surprisingly. The more I've looked at it, the more it's grown on me. Really looking forward to seeing it in person.

Just relieved the regular edition of this series has been my preference to date and this was an online sale.

Hope he does a few more for the Showa Era.

I'm warming on it some as well, but still disappointed. I still +1 the b&w because I'm an Ansin fan, and wanted to continue the UM series that I already have from him. I just couldn't pass altogether. I guess we'll see when it arrives around Christmas, or whatever. Still waiting for the Batman from like 5 months ago.
