Meeting in a church parking lot with no idea what was going to happen and seeing 6 buses pull up, load into them, get escorted by the police down the highway, wheel into an abandoned mall and hear the bus driver say GET OFF THE BUS while it was being attacked by zombies is gonna be tough to beat for mystery movie experiences. RIP mondo
that's just awesome

Bummer. All good things come to an end I guess.
Last few pages feels a wake.

Doing well, bud - older and achy, but can’t complain. Hope all is well on your end?
This gives me pause to peruse my collection. A few surprise risers in there I wasn’t expecting.
(sorry, inappropriate at this time, I know!)

Never met any of you geezers at a mondo show. Although I think JoJo came out for the LA mystery movies and handed out pens? Am I making that up?
Also pretty sure Benelli and Bickel were up at the front of the line for Taylor/Stout. Maybe I am wrong about that too lol
Was hanging w/ codeblue......we saw you at both the LA mystery movies and at the Taylor/stout show (I was handing out pens/pencils in Austin).
side note - codeblue is one of rob's favorite internet personalities.

I was actually there for that. The set up was cool but the poster sucked and didn't flip. Was hoping for another Akira property to have a valuable hard to find poster at the end of it.

RIP mondo. Funko is possibly the worst.
So the question now is how many happy meals I can get for this monads swag...and when?

RIP. Mondo got me into collecting art in 2010. Very sad, but most saw the writing on the wall when Funko took over. Hopefully all the original creative team reforms their own thing and aren't beholden to corporate shareholders. I've already seen multiple big name mondo artist on Instagram pledging their loyalty to wherever the crew winds up. Jason Edmison, Daniel Danger, Francesco Francavilla were a few promising ones I'd seen!

So Funko took the name Mondo, fired everyone, won't do posters, but will do what now? Vinyls and toys? Why even acquire Mondo then? This is next levels of dumb.

Discovered Mondo, which brought me here, in 2012. Peak Mondo hype was the Horkey TWBB drop which I scored on drop day on their old janky website. My first and only visit to Austin and the gallery was Laurent Durieux's first solo show, and I still have all the posters I bought and flew back home. Good times...... also, drymount Funko.
