That's crazy. People could be selling them as they hold them in carts.Whitey9457 wrote:apparently it stays in your cart indefinitely...jpfondu wrote:How long does it stay in your cart after hitting checkout?

I have one "in my cart" but it will not let me finish checkout step 2 as it keeps popping up 'sold out'. Grrrrr...

Have you tried checking out with PayPal? Each time I do that and make it through, when it goes to process payment it takes me back to the 'sold out' screen.
FWIW, I'm stuck on Step 1, so if he's on Step 2 he's ahead of me. But I'm not really trying. Just more curious than anything...Particle wrote:Same with everyone else still tryingSearchingTudor wrote:I have one "in my cart" but it will not let me finish checkout step 2 as it keeps popping up 'sold out'. Shopify is a broad brush ecommerce solution, manages inventory (thereby preventing oversells), guides users through checkout, allows them to take their time, etc..
We have the technology for flash-sales (ACID rules - transaction logic, concurrency handling, tokenization etc..), but Shopify (this version) doesn't support it out of the box.
Mondo won't ,and shouldn't, care about how fast or slow their site is until it impacts profitability.
