Avengers drop took 3 hours, so I don't quite understand why you're complaining about 45 min
He is not talking about waiting 45 minutes for it to drop, he means the time between it dropping and saying sold out. 45 minutes of readding it to cart.
time is time..

What time did these actually go up today? Must have been earlier than recent drops?

That's crazy. People could be selling them as they hold them in carts.
Need to cut that sheeeat down to 1-2 minutes.

I have one "in my cart" but it will not let me finish checkout step 2 as it keeps popping up 'sold out'. Grrrrr...

Have you tried checking out with PayPal? Each time I do that and make it through, when it goes to process payment it takes me back to the 'sold out' screen. :hanging:

FWIW, I'm stuck on Step 1, so if he's on Step 2 he's ahead of me. But I'm not really trying. Just more curious than anything...

He said he's using paypal ,though- which I think is more you skip step 2 . as opposed to getting to step 2 O_o (if that makes sense)

Shopify is a broad brush ecommerce solution, manages inventory (thereby preventing oversells), guides users through checkout, allows them to take their time, etc..

We have the technology for flash-sales (ACID rules - transaction logic, concurrency handling, tokenization etc..), but Shopify (this version) doesn't support it out of the box.

Mondo won't ,and shouldn't, care about how fast or slow their site is until it impacts profitability.
