As someone who has only been checking in every now and again recently, what happened to Stout, Moss and Horkey? Did they have a falling out with Mondo or are they just not making as much art?
Ah yessss the classic, 'where are the heavy hitters who haven't sold art with mondo in years' comment.

i never tire of these.

their output is your answer.
Right that was the point of the question. I didn’t know the answer and hoped people on here did. It’s just a question, no need for the unhelpful response dripping with sarcasm.

remember where you are....

and as noted, their output is the answer.

was more just commenting on the fact that its a repeated question in the thread. not that it was you personally asking.

im more fascinated by the fact that the artists who have some of the most fervent fan bases that started the hobby almost are completely uninterested in making movie posters for said fanbases.

no worries if you aren't as up to date. apologies it came off that way.

^ Pretty much.

The initial question is a fair one: why aren't these old favorites doing anything Mondo?
Cannot speak for them individually/personally, but seems like Tyler does stuff now and again through other venues but has clearly devoted more time to his family (always the right choice), Olly has taken his talents to the video game art/production realm (where he is thriving and clearly enjoying himself), and no idea on Horkey.

Happy for those guys as they don't seem to be missing the 'golden era' like we all selfishly do...but regardless, not a good look for the company.

Artists like making art and not just making alternative movie posters. I don’t know what Mondo typically pays these artists and I’m sure the big names get more than the no names but I have a feeling these artists can do better doing their own thing at this point than working for Mondo.

the answers are known. Moss does video games and said he had no interest in making movie posters. Stout can't get likeness rights/approvals for even existing projects. Hork does fine art.

It makes sense to get fresh blood also, even if it upsets the older fsnbase.

Change for some is difficult, but it also brings some amazing new designs.

It’s a great time to be a collector...if you collect pins and tikis.

I too miss the olden days but I’ve also moved on from needing a 20th Jurassic Park poster. Seems to be some gems from time to time but it’s a lot less exciting now as it was 10 years ago. Mondo has like 50 unsold posters sitting there. We used to have just one (Finn and Jake). Seems all of these galleries are experiencing the same. Market is saturated, flipping is low, new blood is low. Most stuff is easy to get now so the thrill is gone. Harrumph!

Nice looking poster, especially the variant. I might try to buy one. To add to the discussion above, this would be the first Mondo buy (given I try and succeed) in a few years. Can’t recall the last thing I bought from them. Same goes for Durieux.

Neva heard of the movie even though it's a Coppola. Any good?
