kinda hard to anti-hype a timed edition. no drop to miss.
Sure you can.
Step 1: tell everyone its over priced so they dont buy it
Step 2: Buy them even though you say its to high
Step 3: Low print run due to anti-hype
Step 4: Profit - sell the prints on secondary for even higher as the run is low and people gotta be completionist

Step 0, Acquire a time machine to travel back three years to a time when these actually flipped.

There is absolutely no room for anyone to profit off this timed edition print at its new cost, so the idea that anyone would benefit from anti-hyping is a bit silly. Most of the later SW Portraits sell for under cost,... and if the new cost is $100, I'd pretty much say that is their current average value already on the aftermarket.

I like the portrait. I don't mind the price. I like Mitchell's work... but the over-marketing at Mondo is nauseating these days.

1. it is overpriced. mike himself said he priced it higher than usual.
2. i would love to meet the flipper thinking that they are going to cash out on this. i mean stack up on them if you think this will flip.
3. its probably going to be a low run because of the high price, so close to the holidays, its a character people already have before, its a super mega ultra deep cut that people aren't that passionate about.
4. this series has been done for a while and most are not reselling high even the major characters.

barely any of the portraits timed have sold for anything above $150-200 . Mike's anti-hype theory you are running with has no weight to it unfortunately.

ON a different note. Preacher statues finally arrived yesterday. Statues only, no prints. Hope I don't have to wait another 18 months for them.

Is the movie as boring as the poster? #shotsfired
My buddy saw it and said half the theater was asleep. Straight up snoring in there. Can’t say for myself though. Although wasn’t Lost City of Z kind of a borefest as well?
It was a snoozefest. Not a lot going on with the movie and have no reason/desire to see it again (which is a shame as Brad Pitt usually does good work).
