This formula of taking a popular title and making an "Oriental variant" is becoming a bit old hat. I get it when it matches the aesthetic of the film, but makes no sense for Halloween especially IMO. Title block by JRD amirite

I'm not really sure it's a formula when the artist has a distinct style steeped in her culture. Jiwoon Pak is a South Korean artist who put this in her style. Not your taste? OK. Not mine either. But it's far from a "formula". I'm more in-line with Darkknight37 re: alternative posters and trying new things.

I like... IMO it's better than another knife poster like all the other knife posters

I do enjoy the Asian-American text, when it makes sense for the title. Foreign text is far from a new/ original approach (quick example-Moss Die Hard). I am all for alt artists taking chances. I just don't think its taking a chance, rather it's become a safe bet in the alt cinema poster scene.

It doesn't bother me much tho, I am just being redundant.

Agreed. it's actually pretty disquieting in concept. Just not 100% sold on the execution- be interested to see actual pics thoough.

That's some pretty good output for TX Frightmare.

And while that Halloween take is not for me, I like that it's different from the 1000 other Halloween prints out there. That said, I do dig the Francavilla, but that mostly because I love his work and the colors look awesome.

Off topic. God I hate Jimmy Fallon. That guy cannot keep a straight face to save his life. You're not funny, stop laughing at your own lame bits. /rant
