Wish these were a little more colorful. Love the layout and the art . . . just seems so monotone and not in a color-scheme I love. May still try to cop though, 'specially the variant.
Agreed, garish blood reds and bold metallic gold inks would work well. The film was far from subtle in its production design.

Maybe jpeg is doing it a disservice. Cranking it up a bit shows how it could work better imo.

Yeah, when I think BTiLC I think NEON. But I get what PCC was going for with the classic look of Kung Fu Theatre Chop-Socky posters.

What a wasted opportunity to make ridiculously green eyes that pop on the variant. Like creamy jade...

I really don’t like posters that split the eyes like that. Very odd to me.

Aren't they the two different women tho, not just one face split?

I like the style of that, but Lo Pan looks off and Egg Shen looks like his dentures fell out.

Artist here. I know I'm resurrecting a 10 day-old conversation here so I'm sorry if I'm breaking any rules - but I found this thread just earlier and wanted to give my input here. That print was part of a project I'd been working on since November 2014 with this draft:

Image

It all eventually lead to this finished product in the summer of 2015, around when Francavilla's poster came out for Mondo's Jurassic Park gallery:

Image

I made the alternate version that was posted earlier here as a separate Indominus Rex version for Jurassic World - to mirror with the T-Rex for a Jurassic Park poster.

Sorry - I know it's a bit overboard to make an account and write all of this, but I really do care about making sure I don't steal from other artists, and I'd hate for anyone to think that I'd do that with Francavilla's work. Also I'm a smaller artist who absolutely sucks at marketing, and it felt a bit exciting to see people discussing my work. This part is basically just me admitting that I googled myself.

Yeah, I like what they did there. Different eyelashes/eyebrows. subtle where it does almost look like it was supposed to be one bride
