Funny to see people who use bots complaining. I don't use bots, never have, probably never will. I'm on a Mac using Safari so I'm just traditionally refreshing the main page LOL talk about slow as F. The way Mondo released this print today probably is the reason I was able to beat a bot. In fact I bet very few, if any bots were able to score at all today. If you were paying attention you know what I mean - and - what I saw as it was going down. Kudos to Mondo for the "mass" confusion on the refresh of the main page.
People bitching about the low print run. If you don't know by now, then you never will. Modo needs to hype the machine. This Jaws print is the perfect vehicle to literally chum the water with, the Newsweek article, Gizmodo, etc., hype, hype, hype. I've never, in all the years of collecting flipped a print but I scored that Artist Print and will be flipping it for sure. I'm used to buying Obey prints and Shep's print runs are in my opinion too large, to the point were the resale market is almost non-existent. So, it's super refreshing to see a pretty sought after image have a sub 300 print run. Keep in mind, not all of those hit the site, some are held for the archive, some are held for damage replacement. We can conservatively say that maybe 250 went live, and nationwide you have literally thousands of people trying to score, good luck with that. I love to watch the melt downs on FB and Twitter. HaHa! The FB/Twitter crowd are too stupid to realize that this was literally a lottery drop, you had and still have a better chance of getting struck by lightning or getting hit by a car today, insurance statistics, serious business.
Limited Jaws paper, even more serious business.

This was one of the weirdest Mondo releases ever. Only $150? I don't get it. Doesn't make any sense at all.
Of course. Nobody is ever happy.35mmpaul wrote:hey guys....do you think that we can just automatically assume that a high demand print should've had a bigger edition size.
do we have to rehash this all the time?

Edition size is one thing but the price Mondo charged for these Jaws prints makes no sense at all. They should have consulted Kurtz with the pricing thing...
i dont understand the complaint. that its too high? or two low? either way $150 was cheap for this one.Zer0T0lerance00 wrote:kansasbbq wrote:Of course. Apparently tripling the edition, along with the price, would have made more people happy.
