I thought the same thing. The look of the pod in contrast with the rest of the image reminds me of when they would shoehorn CG into 80's/90's anime.

I really want to like the Tong but it just doesn't strike me as a great movie poster. Has more of an art print feel. Maybe it's because the titles aren't very prominent. Hopefully it is more appealing in the flesh.
