I like the limited color palette on Psycho. Fits the movie. I hope we get a bunch of these and wouldn't mind if the other b&w Hitchcock films represented have the same palette. Bring on Shadow of a Doubt, The 39 Steps, Notorious, The Wrong Man, and a trippy ass Spellbound (cue RR and brettlv chiming in for Rebecca).
Hadn't thought about it, but Spellbound is actually a really good fit for WBYK, because of: A) the psychological aspects of the film (I can't think of a better pairing than the Mind Intern himself), and B) the trippy Dali dream sequence imagery that Sonny and Biddy would put their own spin on. I want to see this print.

I'd like to see a Notorious print. That would be kool.
WBYK Spellbound would be a great pairing.

The rumor was b&w but also no dialogue, only the scorematowest wrote:People were all jazzed for that Mad Max Fury Road b&w blu ray or whatever. Can't you just turn the color down on your tv? I'll hang up and listen.

"At that time, Miller told Slashfilm that he had demanded that the Blu-ray release of Fury Road include a version that’s just black-and-white, with no soundtrack beyond the isolated music score"
Because watching a movie with lips moving but no dialogue...sounds great.
Get it!? I punned.

I concur, We already have the OST from Mondo. Put the record in the player, lower the saturation on the TV, pop in the Blu-Ray, mute the TV. Voila no need for the special edition to be released.matowest wrote:People were all jazzed for that Mad Max Fury Road b&w blu ray or whatever. Can't you just turn the color down on your tv? Ha, have fun trying to make that record in sync with the film.
German Edition will include it. (set)

Converting a movie or photo from color to b&w involves a bit more than just clicking "convert to grayscale." I'm not saying that everyone must be interested in a b&w version of Mad Max, but just that it's a more subtle thing than people might think.Thundergod125 wrote:I concur, We already have the OST from Mondo. By the way, the OST is also available in other formats that would save you the time of pausing the movie while you turn the record over.

Like trying to sync Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon with the Wizard of Oz.
I remember trying to figure that one out with my buddies when we were younger.
