The sailboat was awesome. I also really like the Cello Player and it's not a bad price at all for a 24x24 but not quite in the cards for me with all the money I've blown, ha.

Just got this back from the framer. Not sure how I feel about the float. Initially I thought it would be neat because there are small droplets of paint extending out towards the edges, but idk. Feelings?

The art is great, but the float leaves that lip under the frame exposed when looking at it from the side...I see what the framer did to fill it in, but it's not my preference. Otherwise, I'd say it looks great.

are those custom whatson spacers?

i typically don't float a print if it doesn't have deckled edges (does this print?). i would either reduce the size of the backing board ore remove the excess all together. the white border of the print provides enough visual separation. no need for an extra white area. just my preference.

if you want ideas to frame MW with those spacers, just google "martin whatson spacers". there are a few examples.

I have not done a lot of framing yet and never knew about custom spacers. They make it look incredible.

I'm hoping one day to see something very different from Martin. I enjoy his work but there is too much rehashing of the same thing.

It's time for a new design and one not completely covered by graffiti. The toucan is a good example where only part of it was covered but was also aesthetically pleasing.

He's got the talent for it
