That's terrific! Did you do a line drawing, first? Then scan the image into graphics software?

I'm working on a poster, right now. I haven't tried using various filters to create gradients that can be screen printed. I understand the process...just need to put it to work. I'm excited about the one that I'm working on - things are coming along nicely. I'm no where close to being able to post a picture, though.

Thanks. At first I start with a sketch. Then I draw the linework with inks. After that I scan it and work with Adobe Illustrator to get it digital.

In the past, just playing around in Illustrator - I'd start an image without a sketch or line drawing (usually have a background photo to trace.) I'm doing it the right way, this time. Do you also include the small/short lines (such in the fur) in your sketch - or do you add those later in Illustrator?

Right now, I'm sketching 3D letters imbedded into a rock cliff. Heh. I always seem to start-out with the most difficult things. So far, it's looking pretty good.

All details are done on the ink linework. You can see some processpictures of other works on the twitter link.

Been working on and off again on this one for while. Think I might get it printed sometime soon.

Don't know if I ever posted this one, but did this a while back for fun.

I was co-owner of Iron Forge Press for about 7 years and did quite a few gig posters and various other artwork. A lot of the poster work is here http://ianrowan.tumblr.com/tagged/posters
