Eater of Dust Scarlet (イーター・オブ・ダスト・スカーレット) BLACKOSPREY
Very very cool.
I never really cared for the red colorway on this art, but those moths are great! What a fun idea. I didn't think we'd get a chance to see all of them, so thank you for sharing, Shingo.

"Female adults lay their eggs on the leaves of the host plant, mainly Grapes, Vine, and Christmasbush. Caterpillars hatch and start eating. When they are ready to pupate, they climb down their host plant and burrow underground. When the pupa is ready, it wiggles to the surface just prior to eclosion. The newly emerged adults then climb on a plant or some other surface, and pump fluid into their wings to extend them."
Can be found in South Texas.

these are cool, should probably merge this thread with the one already dedicated to the print and it's variants though- http://forum.expressobeans.com/viewtopic.php?t=120138

I'm not an expert on butterflies/moths - but looking at the names of the 21 it appears that #1 & #21 are "bookends".
Unless I'm missing something, they appear to be the only two of the 21 that are of the same genus (in this case Erasmia). Very cool...

Only 19 of the 21 were painted and sold. Those 2 being the unsold I assume for Aaron to keep for archiving.Joesunday wrote:What happened to 6 and 18?
