"Female adults lay their eggs on the leaves of the host plant, mainly Grapes, Vine, and Christmasbush. Caterpillars hatch and start eating. When they are ready to pupate, they climb down their host plant and burrow underground. When the pupa is ready, it wiggles to the surface just prior to eclosion. The newly emerged adults then climb on a plant or some other surface, and pump fluid into their wings to extend them."

Can be found in South Texas.

I'm not an expert on butterflies/moths - but looking at the names of the 21 it appears that #1 & #21 are "bookends".

Unless I'm missing something, they appear to be the only two of the 21 that are of the same genus (in this case Erasmia). Very cool...

It's Japanese, looks like just a repeat of the English above it. The Japanese in the title of this thread is romanized as iitaa obu dasuto sukaaretto.

Only 19 of the 21 were painted and sold. Those 2 being the unsold I assume for Aaron to keep for archiving.
