There is a new independent film being released about comic strips called Stripped. In it Bill gives his first actual on screen interview and did the poster art for the film. Hopefully this gets released as a screenprint.

Looks to me like the kickstarter backers are getting a signed limited edition poster.
Wonder if it's signed by watterson....

I'm gonna need to see this for the Watterson interview alone.

Bill Watterson was a guest cartoonist for Pearls Before Swine this week, and it was great.

Wow. that was amazing. Even more amazing for Stephan Pastis, who got an experience most don't even dream of.

Thanks for sharing!

Folks on a Calvin and Hobbes fan page on Facebook this week were speculating that he was indeed the guest artist. It was soo rad to find out that they were correct.

And that blig post states that Bill is auctioning off said art.

On a completely unrelated note: who here would like to buy a kidney? I'm sure I could part with one.

good for them - I would not have dropped $100 just to get an unseen poster from an unknown artist (which is what seems to have been the deal)

I wouldnt have dropped it either but it's a great reward for the people who wanted to get this movie made. I still haven't seen it, waiting on it to be somewhere not iTunes but the reception has been very good.
