This thread is not intended to be a "I thought this would flip but it didn't"

I'm talking about that heat of the moment purchase for your own collection and when you take it home and look at it you say "what was I thinking"!

Case in point, I got caught up on the SDCC Mondo hysteria and bought the Struzan The Dark Tower print.

When I got home and looked at the print, I realized I've never read or have an inkling to read the story. My best guess is that it has something to do with a cowboy, a rose, and a dark tower.

So there's my tale. Wasn't the first time and it won't be the last.

I got into this hobby from hearing about how apeshit people go over Mondo. I was under the impression that people bought ANYTHING that Mondo sold. I finally decided to buy on a drop day...it was one of the Game of Throne drops. I knew nothing about what I was doing, but bought this poster:

I ALMOST bought 8 Bit Finn and Jake, but opted not to because I had my doubts on the resale value. Anyways, I've since become a [wiser] collector, which has led to the death of my savings account.

Nakatomi Mystery Tube. Can't remember the ingredients all too well, but yeah... Lesson learnt - if the websites taking too long to load, just forget about it.

Wouldn't being a wiser collector actually be good for the bank account?

I've become a lot more judicious in the past 10 months or so as well, sort of by necessity due to getting engaged / getting a new pet / getting bent over by the great new policies such as Obamacare that continue to screw the middle class :)
