Where'd you get the book?robertozanzi wrote:Stoked to be able to grab this print and hand finished book.
I pre-ordered the book back in December during Art Basel Miami. High quality book. Regular editions are available here: https://casslimited.com/shop/tristan-eaton-paintings/WaltJocketty wrote:Where'd you get the book?robertozanzi wrote:Stoked to be able to grab this print and hand finished book.
I got one of the blue APs a week or so ago. Really surprised any are still available. Couldn't decide between blue and red.
https://tristaneaton.com/store/onemanslibertytyrannyMy new print diptych ‘One Man’s Liberty is Another Man’s Tyranny’ is inspired by Eugène Dalecroix’s controversial painting ‘Liberty Leading the People’ made in 1830. The painting was so inflammatory in it’s time that it was hidden away due to fears that it would incite further rebellion and revolution.
The painting depicted the French Revolution which happened on this day (July 27th) in 1830 and became known as the July Revolution, which eventually toppled King Charles X of France. My version depicts a bare breasted Melania Trump standing in as a symbol for either liberty or tyranny, depending on where you stand in today’s politics. In an age where facts and lies are a matter of opinion, treason and patriotism are blurred by misinformation, we find that emotion is more important than truth and the most important emotion is fear.
This print release comes as a diptych set, only 20 sets (Edition 1-20) is available on our site.
