Few people in the facebook groups were complaining.

If you are standing at a normal length away from the print it looks fine.

Versus upclose (12 inches or closer) it looks pixilated.

Kinda like any print where the original file was a painting.

Eh, just seems like it's from peeps who haven't seen a Struzan screenprint, maybe. New stuff for people. No biggie.

Honestly it's always interesting to see the screenprint and figure out where it's a limitation of the medium versus some of the details being accurate to the paintings, which have some of those "imperfections" on them and are now noticeable because you can see it in full size instead of a small jpeg on your computer. But I have neither the OG nor a one-sheet to compare, so I'm likely just being dumb or not thinking fourth-dimensionally.

I'll try and take pictures later.

The BNG ones have better printing. But the printing on BTFF is fine.

Alot of it is just a byproduct of screenprinting a painting

Im curious who printed them.

The Struzan/Frankenstein screen print is a bit fuzzy, IMO. It isn't too bad when standing a normal length away. It messes with my eyes too much, though.

Well, that’s slightly annoying to hear.

I don't post on this site very often, almost never, but I feel compelled to say a few words here.

This print by Hero Complex Gallery is the absolute worst. I dug up a couple of my original Back to the Future movie posters from 1985 for comparison and I believe the pictures speak for themselves. The fact that they charged $135 for it is a travesty. So is the fact that Drew, who should have known better, endorsed them. At the very least, they should allow people to return the prints.

I have been collecting prints since the early days of Tyler Stout and Mondo, so I think I know what I'm talking about. Without the slightest hesitation, I call this the worse printing job I have witnessed.

I won't (can't) include it in my collection.

An Angry Customer (and thank you for not returning my emails).

I mean, it looks different, but I don’t think it’s looks bad at all from those pics.

Also, did you ask HCG if you could return the print? I would think if you wrote a polite email saying you have the original prints and you’re completely dissatisfied with the new one that they would let you return it on your dime.

Ah, after your edit, seeing now that you did indeed email them. Lame. But then again, we are talking about HCG.

Well, I don't know how to stress it more clearly, or maybe you need to see it in person. I own more than 500 prints and this is the very first time I refuse to include a print in my collection. Yes, I do own quite a few bad ones, but this one takes the cake.

I have qualms with the printing of the hcg version. Could've been better.

but its kinda not realistic to think it would be similar to the one sheets.
