A little boy is perched on his cloud. The ladder he has drawn in the sky tells us of his ascent. An invitation to tap into his own imagination to gain height and look differently. More than a simple variation, with his new lithograph "Ladder" hand-enhanced, Seth reinterprets his work on wall and canvas in a different format. Drawn at one hundred and fifty copies, each impression is unique. All scales are different because all made by the artist aerosol bomb. Seth combines the precision of printing with the organic appearance, uncertain gesture and raw rendering of the tool. Patience and meticulousness thus meet the vibration and spontaneity. The notion of multiple becomes here unique. Seth chose to entrust the realization of this lithography to the printing house Idem. Founded in 1881, this Parisian landmark of art printing is acclaimed by major artists on the international scene. The pieces made by the workshop are present in museum collections as well as in private collections around the world.
This lithograph consists of five colors and is printed on Marinoni press on hand cut white Velin BFK Rives 270g paper. It is enhanced by eight colors spray can by the artist. It measures 103 × 70.5 cm.
