Calling all Phlegm fans!!!
I think he has a ways to go before he can dial in his consistency, but I have no doubt that every print he releases in the edition will be up to a high standard. I disagree that the work exhibits that he needs to go any further to be proficient with this format.
Yes, it'll be an etching. And yes, I hope the price is high. About time he valued his work at what it is worth to collectors.DonPiano wrote:So it'd still be an etching? If that's the case, then the price would still be pretty high.

Without a doubt. He's a great artist who over the past week I've grown to appreciate even more. Watching him work with a large scale mural was brilliant. He's unique with his characters that he uses and the images he creates.

Iv been asked to let you all know the following so please pass around.
I seem to be getting a few emails about this etching! That was the only one for sale in Perth. The rest of those rough APs went to people that helped with putting my show together last month. The full edition is still in the making and is aprox 70 to 80. I just need to do it in between trips over the next month or two. I've done maybe a quarter of the run so far. I don't have a price on them yet. I need to get the edition done first. Each image seems to take roughly an hour to produce from the copper plate so its going to be more expensive than a silk screen i'm afraid.
I think its going to be between 300 to 400 sterling…depending on how many images i manage to get from the plate.

Agreed. I'd rather line his pockets with more cash than noob flippers. This is one of the few releases I'd pony up on the aftermarket for if I whiff.alittle wrote:Glad to hear he is going to price these properly.

@ alittle....hell I'd pay more than that but I'm ok with 450

Sounds good. That's a fair price for a great image for sure.
Would love to see a process shot of how these are done with the copper.

That etching is drymounting bananas!
I love Phlegm's work, even the pre-2010 stuff (especially Folk Memory). I prefer his newer, more polished work, but I like watching artists change and progress. It's interesting to see their styles evolve.

I am happy to pay it. This will be one of my most anticipated drops of the year.
