What type of mat us that? It's a perfect compliment (style more so than color) to the print.
Looks like acid free mat board to me. She's floating.

No it's from the edition, I just asked for the book stamp after I saw the book. Luckily my print hadn't been stamped yet.

i'm happy to see this one as well. its happens to be the one phlegm piece i have actually seen in person.

It's an etching FYI. I personally like the immediate vintage feel to copper etching vs screen printing. I also love the extension from the artist, meaning the growth of the craft of copper etching as well as drawing. It has a clear handmade quality which I feel we are moving further away from in our society. It gives me a sense of grounded-ness to where we came from as opposed to where we are going.
