My foil E.T. came in today. Great work all!
Thanks but we think we could better. The regular came out beautiful. Email going out on Monday to all foil buyers.
Wait, really? Mine came yesterday also. It's flattening in a spot with not the best light, but I thought it looked pretty cool. You can't really read the "ET" part if it's catching light because the surrounding is also shiny, but that's the only part I noticed that I'd maybe modify.
yea exactly what we are going to fix. There are like 3 angles where you can't really read the title and even though you can in certain lights from those angles, thats not fair to you guys.

Well, I got my Jaws and CEOTK and the foils on the Close Encounters is pretty great; flattening in a fairly dark room, but can't wait to get it up on the wall. So the foil there seemed to work well.

Either you like foil or you dont. I personally like it especially because we deal a lot with Masthay prints and those always come out nice.

This one I think is the only one we have ever did where it altered the piece enough to be upset with.

I would imagine it's a tricky piece to screenprint on foil. Not exactly designed with screenprinting in mind, let alone that application. But I'm sure y'all will figure something out.

How is the "editioning" going to work on that if the initial run is not being destroyed? I guess we should have a second database entry? (No, I'm not looking to sell, but it will be confusing for secondary buyers.)

Received the ET print the other day (I did purchase it from Vice Press in UK but I guess you guys got yours back first) and was surprised at the printing technique used - it almost looks like a CMYK screen print due to the small, uniform dots. I seem to remember this was a 9 colour print though right?

Confused by the question? You mean the half tones? There will always be dots. I don't believe Half and Half works with CMYK and if they did, they still go through the same mesh.

Edit: yea just got confirm its not cmyk. You are confusing the presence of a process dots (which is how all things are screen printed when it is not 100% fill of a color) with CMYK.
