That’s really funny, didn’t even notice. So cool you sometimes get that kind of access Joe.
Did notice one detail that represents one of the most poignant scenes in the movie to me. After Ralphie gets the gun and his father is watching him load it, he warns that the bbs “run all over” the place. Love the touch of the open bb container over the lip of the rug. Just fantastic. Silly but really spoke to me; that scene always mists me up.

I definitely take it for granted. I'm just programmed weird. I actually enjoy more the end part where they do well on a release and most of the time get paid way more then they did when they did the poster. Like Robert is a partner in this release so if it does well, that money will definitely make it easier for him and his family with the book.
And yea they get like notes, actors pictures and stuff. Struzan discusses it a lot like The Thing was him in the coat because he had no references. Gleason with Halloween, Peak NOES and a couple others def brought it up. I think with the original NOES if I remember correctly Peak just did a random girl who happened to look like Heather so it worked.

Very cool.
You’re programmed perfectly JB. Like, I think you were born for this exact job. It’s why you’re so damn good at it.

Just a very well balanced team. I couldn't do it without the other 2. I know Josh isn't really the one that is out there because he isn't on emails but its mainly because he really just runs all shipping operations. Something I mentally couldn't do nor what any of you want me to do. They always joke to have a sticker that you put on some tubes that say like packed by Joe to differentiate my packing vs Josh. My tape is a mess lol
But yea roads definitely led to this. I took experience from all my past jobs who had amazing bosses and coworkers that I learned a lot from and brought it here.

And I guess there must be 2 versions, which I didn't realize? Santa hat only and Santa face? What's the story there? Also, did he do the snowball poster? That's a hard one to find and could be interesting if, say, someone were to do a screen print version.acidburn wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 4:52 pmWell true story, like Struzan, back in the day the artists don't actually see the movie when they do these posters. Robert was telling me the history of it last week and its funny how you're picking on the dogs but no one ever mentions how hes in a white rabbit suit...

We need an advent poster series where he gets closer and closer throughout the month.

Aww, I just saw an article that Melinda Dillon (Ralphie's mom) died.
