I couldn't buy the Kylo on principal. The principal being that Kylo Ren is a whiny, organic, fair trade font of hipster angst and is about as intimidating as Jar Jar Binks. Biggest dud of a villain of all time, IMO./Rant

Oof, this is awkward now. FWIW, Kurtz did a fine job. Congrats to those who scored?
Probably because he has inner struggles about being a bad guy, which will be revealed in Ep 8 when he becomes a good guy.

Lol at the fair trade/organic bit being equated with any sort of angst.

Well, Hayden Christensen is likely worst actor alive, so Anakin isn't hard to beat. His bad acting is actually more intimidating in itself because of the dread I would feel if I knew I had to watch that movie. Whereas with Kylo, I can imagine him arguing about micro aggressions while sipping a kale smoothie on his unicycle in Brooklyn. I don't know about you, but that's a problem for me.

Not knocking the print by any means, though. Kurtz nailed that little hipster and I hope you all enjoy them.

Christensen wasn't bad in that one movie...Shattered Glass? But yeah, just that one, really.

anyone know/think we'll see more characters by Rory?
It's a new series by him, we'll see lots more

+1 set
I read the blog and Rory's quotes and mentions of other films, all of which I'm excited for. I hope Joe gains access to more SW movie licensing so we can move beyond TFA. I hope he gets access to Rogue One, and the original trilogy. Just one mans opinion.

My bad, bro. I should have known that was going too far. Kylo drinks organic, sustainably farmed hot dog smoothies.

Hipster's such an annoying catch-all, especially for a character who just looks that way to somebody as opposed to actually doing any of that.

Ren had a lot of rage. Lashed out at enemies and his own soldiers alike. We saw a lot of his inner turmoil, but his subordinates were scared af around him. He also is incredibly powerful. Stopping Poe's blast midair and holding it there for a while while he did other things is something I don't even think Yoda could do. Not to mention getting hit full blast by Chewbacca's bowcaster (which was often touted throughout the film as awesome and powerful) and still having a major lightsaber throwdown afterwards. Audiences perseverated on his emo side, but there's a whole lot more to this character that was only hinted at. Hopefully the next film really highlights the real Kylo Ren.

Emo is also an unavoidable descriptor for any character that struggles between the light side and the dark. Anakin, Luke, and Ren have all played that up.
