They have to make a plate to press into the paper. and it is expensive to make it.
It's possible that they could be more than one color. but its better if they are just one.

Fairey has put out a few two color letterpresses. His are also cheaper, but substantially higher edition sizes.

thanks for the info guys. i admire them but knew nothing compared to the screen and linolium block printing processes.
