Pretty good experience at the Living Dead Weekend today getting 14 different signatures on the 'Dawn of the Dead' print. The only real hiccup was Ken Foree who insisted on signing up top and used navy blue despite me trying to stop him.
Saw at least 3 other screenprints out there today.
And lesson learned on this one, but whatever paper was used was easily ripped when removing the painters tape... First time this has ever happened to me. Thankfully it's mostly on the border (albeit in like 12 spots) and I'll get it restored the best I can. But word of warning for anyone else, don't use painters tape on these prints!
damn thats a bummer. Was it a big mark? Because thats really awesome. We have plans to do the other Deads toocmatthews11 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 11, 2023 1:53 pm

These give you an idea of the damage.
I put tape on the corners to hold the print flat on a piece of foam board and a bunch of little pieces with arrows to point to signing locations.
Honestly, I'm just kicking myself for doing it that way. It just seemed like this paper on particular reacted horribly to it. Not the end of the world by any means.
I'm actually going to try linen backing on this and will see what restoration they can do. I have some other screenprints that I want to restore as well from damage going to con signings so this will be a good test. If they can't fix it, I'm honestly okay with it as it's not noticeable unless you are close and looking for it.
yeah i get lots of graphs on screen prints. and would never do tape to hold paper onto a flat surface. I do binder clips but with tiny pieces of mat board to avoid binder clip indentations. but hey. if you are going to keep it seems unnoticeable especially in a frame.

Also, pumped to hear this! There were a decent amount of Day of the Dead guests in attendance this weekend too.
After my whole ordeal getting Matty Tobin's Day of the Dead printed, I swear it soured me off the movie for a few years.
