Bottleneck Gallery News/Rumors!
I saw the purchases and thank you. You just did a funny sandwich thing above though.kschumac09 wrote:If it’s any consolation, I’m whining, primarily, because I’ve ALREADY dropped an ungodly amount of money on all your cool releases the past few months, and will continue to do so.acidburn wrote:Thanks for loving us.kschumac09 wrote:Love the BR art print variant, but $200? Don’t get me wrong, I love Bottleneck, but the way their prints have been reselling these days it might actually be cheaper on eBay in a few months.
I actually like the higher cost to deter flippers. But this one might be a bit rich for my blood.
We just like doing fun things here. If something ends up going on the secondary market for more then thats cool. This was a project that we have been working on for almost 2 years with Drew. Just happy to see it finished.
We saw the response to his last release with the timed and unsigned option for a more affordable price and people seemed to like it especially Drew and his team.

Haha, okay I worded my first post poorly and may have given the impression that flipping is what I’m concerned about. I’ve actually never flipped any of my prints. My main point was that I love the art variant version but it is steeep. To the extent that the secondary market may (or may not) have a hard time maintaining that value, because the art variants seem to be less desirable to collectors overall. And that’s not a reflection on the quality of the print. I personally love the art-only variants.SPAC04 wrote:Relax guy, it'll flip

When you look at what Galactic Gallery (representing Drew) are selling his other pieces for, both giclees and recently released screen prints, this signed screen print for such an iconic movie poster is a no brainer.acidburn wrote: and the presale for past buyers went amazing yest. Should be a nice amount of art prints left for today but think theyll go fast.we'll see
I've interacted with Ben from GG a few times and the guy is super nice and professional, but I find it hard to believe that there's a market for Drew's original work at those listed prices. Maybe i'm wrong and way off but oof those are expensive.rubberneck wrote:When you look at what Galactic Gallery (representing Drew) are selling his other pieces for, both giclees and recently released screen prints, this signed screen print for such an iconic movie poster is a no brainer.acidburn wrote: and the presale for past buyers went amazing yest. I'd love to see John Alvins original theatrical composition as an art print.
