For the people that purchased the first two prints of Chilcott, can they get early access to complete the series?

I'm curious about your insight as to why credits are included on some posters but not others. I assume that sometimes it's contractual and sometimes the artist's preference. My question is, why would contracts prevent credits?

Thanks!
Studios would have to give royalities to everyone in the block if it is in their contract to do so. They dont wanna do that. I actually spoke with a copyright lawyer regarding this and he told me that credit blocks could fall under Factual information under the fair use section of copyright law. I am guess studios dont wanna piss off their money makers.

The fair use reading is interesting and makes sense - the use of a credit block itself can be artistic, but the information it contains is simply that, "informational."

Not quite as good as jaccob, but getting there.

In all honesty it looks pretty cool, and I think it's a solid pairing (at least in theory). Should end up pretty sweet!

There really isn't a license for "Movie Posters". Most licenses are fine art licenses. So credits are just a thing some studios allow and some don't.

Rules are a little easier when its more a marketing thing like our Kong print. We had credits on it but I'm positive if we wanted to do it again in the future with WB, we wouldn't be allowed.

So with regards to the Gabz TFA prints that were a hair too wide: would the best option be to take them to a place with a cutter and have them trim it?

most (if not all) framers have the ability to do so.

Hobby Lobby, Michaels, etc should be able to take care of it. just chat with the person in the framing department.

Update, took the print to Hobby Lobby, they trimmed it by a hair, and now it fits perfectly in the frame. :pint:

Nice! I had to do the same with my Stout Blade Runner years ago. They take care of you.

Gross. Don't go to Hobby Lobby for trimming of Stouts or anything else for that matter. :quesexclaim:
