Not my favorite print, but my wife really likes it, so a chance at a new Laurent and 25% off might be a good excuse. Fingers crossed that it's the North by Northwest he teased a little while ago on Facebook. That would be a poster worth a blind sale.
This was my thought too, or King Kong. Will probably pick up one, maybe both.
Why would he want to do a
third Kong poster? I would think a busy artist like that would prefer to sow new ground.
lol. he meant the Delort Kong as a "discounted store item", to buy in order to lock in whatever Laurent has.

#science
So it goes...

Think he's talking about what he'll buy at 25% off. Beatles or King Kong

If it's North by Northwest I will eat my hat after I tip it to DHM. The likelihood of anybody nabbing that property is remote.
Fair warning though - it's a nacho hat.

They make delicious head-wear.
In all honesty, I'm not a fan of the pre-sale lock (as seen by how much of a whiny bastard I was about Delort CB Christmas) but I respect that it's a good incentive to try and clear some inventory. The desire to keep it a mystery is interesting though - it's one thing to keep it a mystery in something like the Twilight Zone sub (where you at least know what the property is, just not the specific episode), but keeping it a mystery when a no-doubt-sell-out property would guarantee people partaking in the sale (ensuring more clearing out) as opposed to a mystery making it a gamble on whether or not it's good/something they want/something valuable - that's a calculated choice, and I don't know if it's for the sake of them hedging their bets (I mean, there's a refund being offered for the Durieux in case people don't want it) or to keep us guessing and hope to build hype (a la Vacvvm portfolio).
Good luck to DHM and hope folks who've been wanting something from them for a while finally pick it up (this would be a slam dunk for me if I didn't get Delort King Kong at drop) but hope there's a ton of the Durieux left for those of us with tighter budgets and not as much wall/flatfile space.

I just got that ridiculous sale email from DHM. I seriously can't make it past the 2nd paragraph of those emails, with all the ADD driven writing that goes all over the place... And then repeats itself again and again.
It's like an infomercial and a Mary Assta ebay listing all in one. "You didn't want it before but you want it now because you can buy more later from us FIRST FIRST FIRST."
The random neon colored text added a nice epileptic dimension to the email as well.

I think this is a good chance to pick up some holiday gifts! The LD lock is just a bonus, especially if you can get a refund if you find out it's not something you like. Seems like a no brainer to me!
