these guys are morons - it's always someone else's fault

at the end of the day, YOU are responsible. don't blame it on whoever you farm the work out to - you chose them, they failed. ultimately, this reflects on you. it's YOUR fault.

it's a shame it'll still sell out whenever these dipshits get their act together. such ineptitude shouldn't be rewarded

If they learn anything, it should probably be to not be so openly communicative.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice for them to learn from these mistakes and do as suggested - move to a new environment like BC or Shopify - it would be nice. Still, if you think they enjoy this... nah.

I appreciate the fact that they post here. I wouldn't blame them if they stopped.

Again, look at Obey. Yea those don't typically drag out for multiple hours but... combined week after week, the same BS... and nothing changes and no one (really) complains.

good artists may take notice and decide not to associate with them.

So we'll update soon as we figure how to proceed fairly.

Sorry about this, you can imagine how frustrating for us, the "Christmas Charlies" are printed, they're here from Burlseque, ready to post out first thing Monday and just need complete the deal with you guys.
So back with you later this afternoon.

Grateful for your understanding,

IT guy here... Ask them to show you logs or some graphs proving there's an attack because they may be BS'ing you on the DDoS. It's a convent excuse for why their load balancing didn't stand up to the task. They may be desperate in keeping your business.

Funny now that people are not hammering the site it's working. The DDoS must have just ended too huh??

Fully agree and what we were discussing here as well. Moment the cancel went out it calmed page down so we'll be looking into everything they've done and how they've explained it as none of it adds up other than they simply weren't prepared for this size traffic.

why are you wasting your money and everyone's time with this bs site? go to big cartel or shopify and this would never happen.

DHM, what's your idea for re-drop attempt?
Today? Tomorrow? Next Week?

Maybe just an EB mail order list??

Obviously not a DDOS attack as the second you made that announcement the site is smooth again.

I've been part of shopify releases and they can get pretty messy. I've never had a problem with BC though

DHM: Please send out an announcement for the next drop via email.

The only thing worse than wasting 2.5 hours refreshing a broken website is missing the rescheduled drop because you didn't monitor a forum thread for the next 24 hours.

Guys, I'm sure there'll be a super-detailed press release email to explain the next drop. Don't worry.

Just hope it's on an uneventful day. Word is there's some stupid holiday going on end of this week...
