Without the charts, how would you have any idea on where to begin to make an offer for a print that came out 5 years ago? Do you just look at the "for sale" page and just buy the lowest one that's available? What if all those sellers are inflating their prices on purpose? How do you know what prints to use to match up in a trade? Nobody is gonna trade you a $400 print for another print that's only worth $150. There are people on here who view the prints value solely based on the artwork created but the vast vast vast majority of people on here view its worth based on how much money they can fetch for it.

i disagree Bickel. it may be flawed for the hot new Mondo poster because all the shady douches on here enter false sales to prop up the values of their lame movie posters but i think print sales of artists like Horkey, D*Face, Miss Bugs, stuff like that is pretty accurate and is an excellent guide.

Knowing some sales are fraudulent is a key part of being able to 'read' the sales history. If you're taking it all literally then you're doing it wrong. Flawed at its core, yes, but it's also way better than having nothing at all.

I record all of my sales as well- the hookups, below face, new high sales, etc...I will record the sale when the print arrives...That way everyone can remember how dumb I am

Well, what's low and how did you find out what low is? Without data like run #, initial cost and aftermarket EB sales prices, we would have no way of determining how much these prints are actually worth, money-wise.

I'd love to be able to buy a copy of Whale Bone Grave at cost if someone were to sell it to me for that price, but I think we all have a general idea how much money I'm going to need to pony up (or which prints in my collection I would need to part with) due to the fact that we have recorded EB sales.
