I just want to give Ben Wilson another shout out. My wife and I are currently working with him and he is a pleasure to work with. He asked a lot of questions about what we wanted the piece to be, represent, and look like (colors ect.) and I tried to give him a concept of what we wanted, which was a little different from other commissions he had done before. He took our ideas, added some of his own, and came up with something that I think is going to be perfect.
In the beginning he sends you a questionnaire and asks for many pictures. I think he does this partially so he can get a feeling for personality, which is one of the strongest points of his work.
Here are some commissions he has done before that I thought were interesting.
Wedding Invitations
Plumbing company truck
Nephew with pet snake
Gallery sidewalk sign
What artist would do a good pet commission ?

Posted this in another thread, but thought it should go here too. A few years ago, NH painter/muralist Gordon Carlisle painted this for me:
My puggle's name is David Bowie, so he gave him Bowie's eyes and put an Aladdin Sane bolt on his face. I love how it came out! (I took it off the wall to get a better pic/lighting)

You should undoubtedly get a canvas from Aroe MSK. Give me a shout if you're interested.
