Just one more milestone in my 6 year, nation wide, multi-grail, multi-alt, super long epic troll before I initiate Order number 66.

oh and congrats Pineapple. Awesome score. Don't listen to the haters, they're just peanut butter and jealous.

fuuuuuuuuck that! you find someone with an asking price you're willing to pay and those items are yours fair and square no karma involved. anyone else that says different needs to look in the mirror and ask themselves why they're lying to people on the internet :pint:

Pawnshops are successful because they buy low and sell high.

Conversation goes like this the majority of the time-

Person "I'd like to sell/pawn my grandma's gold rings"
Pawnshop "We'll give you $25 for them"
Person "How much are they worth?"
Pawnshop "About $1200"
Person "Okay, can you give me $1200"
Pawnshop "I can probably do $50"
Person "How about $500?"
Pawnshop "I can do $100, best and final"
Person "Okay that's fine"

It's no different than the Gold Guys too. They "scam the fudge out" of people but the thing is, the seller is okay with that price and that's the whole part of the business.

If the seller is okay/happy with the price or listed at said price (in pineapples's case), then all parties are happy. It'd be different if you were getting them appraised and told the buyer was told they are worth pennies and the appraiser buys them at that price.

A lot of haters at pineapple but EB is the only place I see the buyer having to list their price when trying to buy something aftermarket. I saw first hand in the family business of flipping for 20 years and the buyer (us) always asked the seller "What price would make you happy and I'll see if I can meet that or get close."
