If you are so proud of it, why are you trying to sell it for $1750?

"Gkohler"-it only takes 1 idiot to throw that much cash at something for it to instantly be "worth" that much.
"Celsius"- Welcome to Expressobeans, bitch.

Logic is so anticlimactic. I like it. Think you might have to let go sooner than you want, at that price? It's rightfully popular. Also, I love Pejac's Sepukku.

Socialite: "My goodness, Mr. Churchill... Well, I suppose... we would have to discuss terms, of course... "
Churchill: "Would you sleep with me for five pounds?"
Socialite: "Mr. Churchill, what kind of woman do you think I am?!"
Churchill: "Madam, we've already established that. Now we are haggling about the price”
I imagine that every member on EB is a potential art whore. Offered enough money, we would all prostitute ourselves and offer up any work of art in our collection, and do so without hesitation. Natepachi is just being somewhat uncouth by being open and honest about it. So, pagodafitz, don't get your art sensibility panties in a twist. At heart, you are probably no better than natepachi. The difference apparently lies in the price it would take to get you to hand over the key to your chastity belt.
My thoughts exactly. Regardless of our potential for whore-dom, "Here is my latest proud print acquisition!... and it can be your latest proud print acquisition for $xx!" is what seems uncouth to me. I'm not calling anyone out for flipping, but maybe don't show it off if here if you're planning to let it go like that?fredo wrote:It's more a 'spirit of the law' type thing with regard to this thread that's at issue...ah doo bleeve.

Hard to call Nate uncouth IMHO....Stand up collector and contributor to EB. The point is that Nate probably doesn't have any immediate intention of selling the print- Hence the high price.agr719 wrote:My thoughts exactly. I used to put all print acquisitions in my trades that were not being framed or put in the framing queue. I always put high prices on them and actually inadvertently sold some prints that I didn't think anybody would bite on, but you never know....
I also received plenty of PM's from members telling me what ridiculous prices I had on my trades
I find the whole "let me tell you what to do with your belongings" schtick rather stupid and vain.
Nate will gain or lose from his choices in life, just as everyone else will.
Stow the greek chorus routine, stop being so judgmental and focus on your own fudge.
