Neither here nor there, but I am in the process of moving and this was the very first piece I hung in the new place. Any excuse to show her off. 8)

was also gonna post about the fund raising project he has participated in since saL has been slacking off. :P

Add edit:
This is the email regarding the 2 events that Escif will be participating in. Wish I could go to either of those events but plane tickets cost at least 3 Horkey TWBB at the momment.

Hello,

This email is just to say hello... and approach you to some nice projects that will take part in the next months. They are selfproduced, so if you want to collaborate with, it can be the nicest action of the day... There are some nice gifts to those who support them.

The first one is in the north of Spain and it´s called Desordes Creativas:

The second one will take part on Peru and is called Afuera:

http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/afuera-2013

Both are made with a really nice energy and because of the good ideas from some really nice people.

Hope you enjoy it.

Best regards!

yup, been slacking on that one, and forgot to post this:

Escif donated some original drawings for the Afuera 2013 fundraising campaign:

Afuera is an art festival organized in Peru, where local and international artists are invited to a community beyond the spotlight of the art world to create works in public spaces inspired by that location.. Escif took part in this event last year, and the drawings he donated are actually original sketches for the murals he did there..

Support this project, and get a nice reward for your good will..

btw, a member on banksy forum wrote that he sees it "as a straight forward reference to budget cuts that have targeted arts funding and art establishments - something that both the Spanish and the government here in the UK have in common..."

that makes a lot of sense to me, and makes me like the print much more.. and even there is not much love for this print, I quite like it to begin with!.. everyone is saying his wall pieces are much stronger, punchy, but it's a question how many of them would work as prints, and even more, how many of them would people BUY as prints?!.. his style is very street/public friendly, and it's not an easy task transferring it onto paper.. with this strange composition I think this witty image was actually a great choice!.. definitely not a kind of print that gets released often...

I respect your opinion on the matter, Sal, and that interpretation does make me like the image a bit more. Nonetheless, it is still an easy pass for me.
