That timing works great for me - 9pm over here. Too bad I have no interest in the invasion kits at those price points.

I'm thinking about making my own version of Aladdin Sane this weekend. In guessing the hardest part for me would be to find the perfect sized frame.

Soupysound- what did you attached the tiles too? The frame backing? I probably won't need spacers since I'm going to put the tile right up to each other.

yes. if i had to do it over again, i probably would use something a bit sturdier. the frame backing warped ever so slightly due to the weight of the tile. not a big deal, but something i noticed. probably depends on the size of the piece. the albino invader is 16x16 so weighs quite a bit more.

Good point. Once I lay it out and get my dimensions I'm hoping Michaels will have a close fit as a lot of their frames have the really thick backing and I won't have to worry about getting plexiglass or something cut.

Hopefully the tile shop has a good selection of colors. I'm aiming for Pinky but haven't fully decided yet

Thanks!

I know, right? Because art appreciation boils down to the cost of the materials used or the ease to replicate. :hanging:

I don't think it'll be $1,200...has to be 850 Euro, max.
