I don't know when it's shipping (after Feb 11 apparently), haven't heard anything and now I wish I had waited and ordered direct from JJ
I bought a signed copy from GR at the LA art book fair a few weeks back, so they definitely had copies at some point. I'm surprised they aren't shipping yet.

I can't imagine this will go for too much if anyone wanted to grab a cheap, little James Jean doodle

Interesting take. Thanks for pointing that out. I'd be trying to figure it out for a long time

James had a very nice write up about it. It is actually an obituary piece for a friend....I believe their wife passed and described it as having a pit wrenched from his heart that could never be filled again.

"@davidchang asked me to draw a going away present for someone dear to him. As if the pit was wrenched from his peach, her departure left a gaping, empty wound. "

That is an incredibly stunning little drawing with a lot of emotion behind it.

This is a really awesome magazine and each printing is limited to 1000 copies. Only three stores in the US stock them and I live less than a mile away from one of those three! :D

I think I'm going to pick up the first 2 copies in addition to this third. Looks terrific and the artists they showcase in the first 2 issues is a really well curated list.

Edit: Damn. Local store is sold out of issue #1. Going to have to pay exuberant shipping prices and buy one online if I want all three
