I'm a sucker and did the print. Just in the time I had to think it over, another 20 or so sold.jeffzilla wrote:did anyone go for the $150 option with the print?
EDIT before I even post:
LOL because I was in such a panic, what I thought was the print, was actually the bookplate. haha. Good, because I wasn't entirely feeling the image as a print.
Love to see what the sketch ends up being.danieldanger wrote:i went big. emailed james to request the sketch be separate if possible so i could frame it up with his other prints. worth a shot. james jean is never a bad buy.
So it goes...
I might have grabbed the art edition if he had posted an example of the sketch, but didn't want to tie up a grand until September on something I might not enjoy. James has a wide range of sketch quality and while I'd hope an edition of 5 at $1000 would be a great one, it's still a gamble. Good luck to those who bought one!

See I thought about doing that but I was sure he wouldn't reply by the time it sold out. Though ripping the page out isn't a bad idea now that I think about it. Congrats.danieldanger wrote:i went big. emailed james to request the sketch be separate if possible so i could frame it up with his other prints. worth a shot. james jean is never a bad buy.

Missed out on the sketch-edition, but am not so upset now that I see the price was $1,000 - I would probably not have purchased one at that price. Very happy to have grabbed one of the boxed editions, though - and it keeps up my streak of having a signed copy of every James Jean publication.
all gone? man thought id have some time. last i checked there were 200+ left. great looking book. his stuff is always high quality.sistinas wrote:Got the box set, boy did those fly out fast, glad I didn't spend too long thinking it over!
Is it a much cheaper option? Just wondering. Shipping to France is $55, somehow.RupertPupkin wrote: Hmmm, shipping is $67 to the UK for the box edition. Anyone willing to pick one up for me and then ship it on..?
I'll send funds in advance, obviously!
