I don't care either way - the EWAF crowd is the new Kurtz crowd which is the new Stout crowd, and all of these will mean nothing when the heat death comes to claim us all - but I thought that part of it was pulling this kind of stunt during a global pandemic. Money is tight, people saw the chance to flip a print as a way of making a few extra bucks, and when they were denied the flip-ability of a print, they got upset.
I mean, the whole aftermarket nonsense is, well, nonsense. People expect to make money off every print, and when they don't, well, they get butthurt. It makes for great, free entertainment, which is all that matters for me. Nothing more entertaining that seeing a bunch of people with too much time on their hands flinging 'spare' money at prints that are just eyes.

If $40 is a big deal... Maybe you shouldn't be buying drymounting prints.GoreMetChef wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 9:54 pmIf the $40 isnt such a big deal and we should all just spread the love, you shouldnt have any issue with sending me $40 then and Ill send you a mystery print.

Definitely not a joke and Jason for sure thought people would love these. I guess when you start painting those little swatches and playing cards and can sell them instantly for $500 plus that will feed your ego a bit. Having incentive to sell more prints is a good business move but when that incentive is just a print of the artists eyes I’m pretty sure most people will obviously be disappointed. I think any eyes from the movie would haven been good enough but to include your own eyes is a misstep and I don’t blame anyone who got upset with that bonus print. I mean if it was buy 1 get the bonus print free then who cares. Maybe even buy 2 get 1 free (but that’s even pushing it) but people buying 3 for a free print and that print is the artists eyes is definitely disappointing and I don’t see how that could be a joke in any way. No chance anyone who ordered that thought that was even possible and I’m sure everyone was expecting something at least from the movie.

Don't forget JLU hype which merged to MM portrait hype.
