Well apologies if there has been a thread created already but i couldn't find one.

This thread basically calls on all whom appreciate the wonderful work of Mr Durieux.
I personally came across his work when Mondo released his Iron Giant piece and since than i have been hooked, especially with the amazing pieces created for the UM show. The Mummy is my personal favourite.

Watch for his Wizard of Oz piece, which will be part of "The gang is all here" show hosted by the wonderful Bottleneck gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

He's a serious talent. I only have the Iron Giant of his at the moment and I've been kicking myself for not trying harder for some of his other UM pieces after missing the Frankenstein.

I love his older pieces like Gigantor

Durieux is the man, love his work! Such a great surprise to walk into the Universal Monster show and see he had a poster for each of the monsters!

First I heard of the man was when DHM dropped his Gigantors (grabbed a variant, myself). Still blown away by the detail in that piece (and many of the others I've picked up since).

Agree that Mummy is the star of his UMs, even though his prints for that show blew my theory out of the water...

P.S. That Wizard of Oz looks enticing!

I have to agree with the comment about detail, i dont think that you appreciate it until you see one close up.

I also really hope i get the chance to score his Charlie Brown Christmas print.

The fact that he did that many prints for the UM show speaks volumes imho. I may have to go back through his entire back catalogue a buy/trade a copy of everything he has done.

I wish his Universal Monster prints were smaller so I could hang them all up

I wasnt a fan until I saw the prints in person. His Universal Monsters are AMAZING, I wanted the wolfman but they were out. Got the Drac. His shading technique is so engrossing.

Glad you all got this thread going. I too just discovered Mr. Durieux's work when I got his DHM Snoopy Love print. I was lucky enough to grab all but his Ceeature UM print and am very excited about his upcoming CB XMas and Wizard of OZ prints. I'd have to say I like his style second only to Whalen and Stout. Looking forward to building a nice collection and watching his body of work grow.

Easily one of the best Mondo prints this year, arguably one of their best ever:
