Actually he’s almost out.
Cheap skates go slowwwww…..
Cough it up, you’ll see.
i mean the price is an overblown price gouge.

its s status symbol at this point more than people like the art.

owning it is a symbol of status of the price it costs rather than people feeling passionate of the art.

calling people 'cheap skates' for not buying it fast enough and telling them to 'cough it up' are examples of this. and the issue with the price.

I really hope you are not insinuating I don’t appreciate LD’s art.
Certainly don’t think 1k is worthy of some poser status.
WTF.
I’m simply telling fellow collectors to buy it now. The price has caught up.
It’s my favorite of his catalog.
It’s well worth it, and the price will double eventually.
Normal poster collector fudge that we discuss every mother drymounting day since this site appeared.
Jesus Christ.

never said that you didn't appreciate his art. but i like that is the insinuation you are most annoyed by

what i said isn't complicated. and your reactions are pretty overblown.

if you feel its a personal attack against you....i dont really care. it wasn't.

it was more a general statement, that the price has pushed the poster to being a status symbol that one has spent the money on it. not really sure why you need me to reword this a third time.

and that your statements of calling people 'cheap skates' and telling them to 'cough it up' even in jest, further proves my point.

but i look forward to a quality mother drymounting retort. wtf.cheezuschrist. or....like dont.

LD posted a status symbol today in his FB group.
It’s solid. Not a movie, another film fest.
I was half asleep when I clicked on it so… that’s all the info I have.

I honestly had no clue people would buy something in private for a status symbol. I wouldn't dare tell my friends how much I spent on some prints I love.

It's almost embarrassing if they ever ask what one of the ones on my wall cost.

First "print" I bought was in person at a concert...real nice screenprint (which I didn't appreciate or fully understand at the time). Price tag... $65. I thought that was insane for a "poster" but I bought it anyway. Stayed in the tube for months and months and I finally took it out and saw the detail in the screenprinting. Now $65 is the low end for most collectors, including myself.

Phlegm releases a print and I'll never spend ~$300 faster. Wild evolution in my collecting habits.

Can definitely relate to this (except the Phlegm part). I remember when $50 + shipping to the UK was an absurd purchase, but I suppose as I grew up and got better jobs it seemed a lot less to spend, especially when they print really well, hard to beat that.

The weird part of my collecting is that I won't think twice spending $300 on a print I love, but put a $300 price tag on something else... new BT speaker (any tech for that matter), frame, rare vinyl.. whatever else... it's a much harder & thoughtful decision. I suppose it's all relative.
