This Dark Knight print isn't doing it for me. 2015 was a down year in my opinion for Laurent, but that is comparing it to his awesome 2014 and great 2013, hopefully things will look up with Indiana Jones and maybe his Twilight Zone print for DHM (if that is this year). Maybe he got stretched thin with starting Nautilus and other engagements.

I completely forgot he was doing a Twilight Zone print for DHM.

Yeah, when they announced the TZ subscription they mentioned it to entice people to subscribe. Subscribers have a lock for all TZ themed prints if they want it, his was the only guest artist they guaranteed was doing one though. I think there have been 3 artists so far.

LD is my favorite but I'm glad I passed on this one. Variant is also really disappointing.

You gonna regret it. Its gonna be awesome in person. One thing I have realised that LD's works in person are far superior than the Jpegs!

I was on the fence but this is the justification I used to pull the trigger. I woke up on the morning of the drop and thought 'am I really going to pass up a print LD did that has drymounting Batman on it?' Excited to see it in person.

Pretty much sums up my entire thought process the morning of the drop.

That second part is Mondo's thought process, too. They go... Yeah it's whatever, but hell... Batman and LD? Sure, let's release it and then landscape half of it and charge more for a variant! Brilliant! Ha.

But honestly, it will def look better in person but still doesn't change the fact that for me the composition is very lazy and boring. So for that reason, I'm out.

I just wish they did something different with the variant. Looks like they just cropped out a part of the original image and did nothing else.

However, I may change my mind in the future and pick up a reg we'll see! :pint:

So if you get it and hate it, you can say 'well at least I hate the jpeg more!"
