For that title layout to work, 'THE' and 'OF THE' should have been the same point size as 'SILENCE' and 'LAMBS'. Because they are slightly smaller it is much more difficult to read without reading the 'DIRECTED BY' bit in between. The words would definitely fit on the same lines they are currently on too so no idea why this wasn't done. Or even make the film title a bit bolder so it separates more from the director credit.
Either way it really bugs me when a poster has bad typography, it makes all the difference when it's done right.

Titling like this makes me wish Jay Shaw was still around. Dude knew how to do a good title.

I was trying to figure out what bugged me about it and realized everything looks too sterile/sanitized. Not saying you gotta go full Horkey but some dirt or details would be nice. Maybe some color would've helped.

That's really part and parcel of Durieux's style though

Think he missed out by not having the spools of fabric have bones in the middle instead of tubes.
But ain't going to matter as not buying anything with that title block.

How the hell did that title block make it to final? It's bad, like all time bad.

I’m more concerned by the fact there was people hyping this in private groups bragging about how cool it looked I now understand this must have been the feed there egos at having the chance to get first dibs

Everyday I like the print less and less. The concept is cool with a terrible execution. The fabric spools are so boring to look at, because how easy they look to make. I think the title block is the least of the concern. Worse than his Godzilla which I find dreadfully ugly. I don't understand how Laurent can have the coolest concepts and art, then make other things so lame to look at.
