Wow, that WBN VSE in particular has really awesome stenciling. Absolutely awesome pickup!

it's not often the wife enthusiastically endorses something i put on the wall, but this was a hit. we recently saw wicked and picked this up after the show. it's easily the sentimental favorite of the year.

thanks...i went in with the intention of going with a black mat but fell in love with the green suede when i saw it...it matches the smoky feel the green in the print has to a tee.

For the first time in roughly twenty years I didn't acquire any art. I did have some framed, and I sold a piece or two, but nothing new was added to my collection this year. Thinking about it, part of the reason was missing out on pieces that I wanted. Health issues and stress at work combined to pull my attention away from art, and by the time I inquired about availability, things had already sold. Part of the reason was my impending retirement and the need to put my finances in order. Another factor was getting off my butt and finally hanging well over a hundred pieces in the 200 year old farmhouse I bought three years ago, only to realize just how limited my wall space is. I still have two or three dozen pieces to display, and have begun hanging very large pieces in one of my barns. Although the barn is restored and quite nice, it is still a barn. And if I'm being honest, art took a back seat to restoring a 1957 Oliver Super 55 tractor and collecting quite a few pieces of vintage and often very rare cast iron cookware. Even as I write this, I'm wondering if my days of collecting art are winding down.
