Honestly, a satirical End of Men poster that glowed in the dark would be drymounting hilarious

I know a lot of these licensed posters are going to reuse key art, but I'm not feeling the new LOTR poster for the Frodo looking like a copy/paste of the teaser B (the hardest to find, btw, because I remember the search) when the other elements look more redrawn.

Yea it’s this asset

In order to do likeness now for a majority of the characters it has to be assets. So for a lot of artists that have more the photo realistic style, it will probably always be assets going forward.

Ahh, okay. I thought he was doing some lazy karate. :) The right arm still looks odd, even in the original. But it is what it is. The new poster is good work, it's just so obviously copies of other posters. I'm sure it'll find appreciative buyers.

Mother of God, the Roamcoach Einstein is a work of drymounting art. Truly a stunning piece.

Yea those comments are brutal. I think they also owe Juan’s Halloween and many other prints too judging by the comments.

True Bottleneck story is that when Jared used to work there back in the day, I actually tried to “acquire” (very loose term) them. It was mainly due to licensing and the fact Mike would just email all artists that did anything here to do Marvel prints. Anytime an artist sold out, an email was sent within an hour. So thought it would be a nice way to bring them onboard and increase volume. Didn’t have to write those emails anymore. They also worked out of a storage container and thought it would be nice to help them on that front with fulfillment.

Never happened obviously. Will say though out of the 10 years of doing this, it was probably the worst partnership we ever been a part of. Our releases were sabotaged often. Found out about this later on. I also know of at least 2 artists that have quit limited edition prints because of GM.

I know Jared isn’t there anymore and not sure what’s going on there. Doesn’t look too great by the looks of it and most likely if they are still in the same location, will be on an episode of storage wars sooner or later.

Just to add too, when I started, I did the same thing about emailing artists I personally enjoyed at other places (not same day of sale). Def guilty of that. But then after a few years, you get comfortable and realize the fun part is actually discovering new talent and helping them market themselves.

Glad you like it and was happy to help Ryo solve that problem with the other gallery
