We need a gif of you jumping in the air, a la the Toyota commercials of the past when they past some crazy mileage. You've definitely driven this into the groundearlgreytoast wrote: ↑Sat May 01, 2021 7:42 amThat is a shame. You have to be intrigued by the print-on-demand aspect though, right? It’s almost like they were inspired by some “artists” who started reprinting their more popular stuff in cash grab after cash grab. Beats coming up with new ideas all the time amirite?!?

I also like how me doing what I want with my own artwork is considered a 'cash grab' and not 'a solid business plan that has worked tremendously well for 12 years.'GoBluePanic wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 10:15 amWe need a gif of you jumping in the air, a la the Toyota commercials of the past when they past some crazy mileage. I realize my stuff isn't for everyone, but I reprint enough editions just in case.
Ya'lls forum battle was one of my fav things from the old Doyle thread.HelloExactly wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 8:45 amTimothyPDoyle wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 12:32 am

LMAO, can we please get this thread title changed to "Nakatomi / Tim Doyle Third Edition"?
I'm pretty sure that's what made Tim go bye bye last time. Wasn't his old acct banned for attempting to dox me?

Really is old home week around here.
I realize some people don't like artists reprinting work.
I keep my work in print- because it keeps selling. The collector's market isn't really the market I shoot for with my work- I'm much more interested in the casual buyer- mainly because they're a lot more of them.
Now- that's with my work. The work we publish from other artists, that's up to them, what they want to do with their work.
And obviously, quite a few of the gigposter clients are a one-and-done type of deal.
But you all know this.
I'm not really interested in having boring old arguments.
I was just popping my head in to see what was going on with the EB forms, while I was using the database for some research.
It really is a great resource.

Ha! Nah- I was looking up an artist I was working with, to see their older stuff.bubbie wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 2:34 amBait for the next mystery tubes round?TimothyPDoyle wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 2:14 amI was just popping my head in to see what was going on with the EB forms, while I was using the database for some research.

We still do Mystery Tubes regularly, but I ran out of collector bait, and just put together tubes of stuff we do. All my old friends and co-workers ran out of prints to sell back to me- that I had originally gave them, back when I ran Mondo.
What was really interesting is that didn't seem to hurt Mystery Tube sales at all...
Weird world, man.
out of curiosity, why not just call your prints open edition instead of doing limited edition round 2 or round 3? (Renumbering the prints back to 1 is not really a new edition) i'm sure this is a big reason people are not happy due to this advertisement of LE.

It's called "marketing". Business people do it!seincat wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 12:20 pmout of curiosity, why not just call your prints open edition instead of doing limited edition round 2 or round 3? Also a #1 from a 50th edition is still a #1.
Also..."people are not happy". LOL. Like 3 and we're still missing one in this thread. Tell that to Doyle's accountant and see what they say.
