Curious as to what people define as "vintage" . I sold a print which I described as vintage, meaning "old" . Someone bought it and asked a question about the item AFTER purchasing. Now they are backing out of the transaction. I'm ticked off becasue they bought first and asked later , when they should have done the opposite.
Any thoughts?

I have no idea. I once heard that "classic" means 25 years or more when talking about cars.

turns out to be a misunderstanding. Issue is resolved, but I'm still stuck witht he initial isting fees on eBay,
But I'll say it again, ask any questions you have before buying, don't be so quick to pull the trigger. If you're unsure, just ask.

I don't think you can get the listing fees back, only the final value credit fees. I'll have to look into it and see what the terms are.
Basically the guy admitted he made a mistake, still screws me over though. pffft!

I did that once, but i offered to pay $10 for his trouble and the fees. He was real cool about it.
I've done the same too - but only if I'm the one in the wrong. Recently I had problems with a reprint that was presented as an original - caught it before it shipped, but I wasn't going to offer to cover fees or anything cause it should have been noted as such. Yea, I could have asked first but if the listing says "original" then I'll buy first and ask later knowing that I should be able to easily refund if it's not (within reason on price, of course).but i offered to pay $10 for his trouble and the fees
